31 May Randgold – Loulo Complex Elution Review (2020)
Cadia’s Principal Engineer, Sean Galvin undertook a full elution review in 2020 to assist with Randgold’s Loulo complex de-bottle necking of their elution system at their site in Mali. The review combined first hand inspections at site with desktop reviews of the design to highlight shortcomings in the elution and regeneration operations and possible options for improving throughput and recovery.
Similar design reviews have been undertaken in the past by Sean Galvin in a similar way, including at sites such as Kinross Tasiast plant in Mauritania, Gold Fields Granny Smith mine and more recently Gold Fields Saint Ives, and Regis Resources Garden Well operations.
